Clog Lovin'

Despite their unfortunate name (say it out loud: "cl-ogg". Not too stylish huh?) and a somewhat uncomfortable look about them, clogs have enjoyed a meteoric - though not entirely surprising - rise in popularity. And it's a popularity that's only expected to increase with clogs being included in many Autumn/Winter 2010 forecasts.
But whilst clogs aren't likely to be in short supply any time soon, there's like to be good (see Chanel clogs above) and bad (see Louis Vuitton clogs below). My two rules are to stick to the traditional style (Swedish style clogs have made the biggest impact - unlike the Louis Vuitton interpretation) and that if the heel has chunk, then it's good. Very little heel (see aforementioned picture below) or no heel at all just isn't right. Besides, the trends is for clogs, not crocs.
Here's my little mood board on the subject of clogs. Enjoy!

Street Style: White Denimspiration

Further proof of the global truth that you can't lose with a pair of white denim shorts and a sunkissed tan. Can you summer? I'm in love!

3.1 Phillip Lim Silk Shift

In an addition to my ever growing wishlist, I discovered this amazing chic navy silk shift by Phillip Lim. Embellished with a string of pearls at the neckline and a draped front, this 3.1 Phillip Lim creation is an embodiment of timeless elegance. If you're going out after dark, pair it with a Stella McCartney blazer, an Anya Hindmarch clutch, Laura Bohinc shoes (or my personal faves at the moment - ballet flats. I'm in love with these quilted sole D&G bow detailed flats and the gold Lavender label flats from Vera Wang) and a messy chignon for a fierce, sophisticated and modern chic look when you hit the town!
You can grab your own Phillip Lim shift at MatchesFashion.com.

Jasmin Sparrow's Feathers

It seems I'm on something of an Antipodean bent today. But my discoveries had to be shared. The first discovery is a wonderful New Zealand model by the name of Cece Yost, with her gorgeous hair and elven like looks. The second discovery is the lovely bohemian-style feather pieces made by the aptly named designer Jasmin Sparrow, also from New Zealand. You can take a look at both in the photos below, taken by Sara Orme.
For more information on Jasmin's designs, check out her website here.

Lust Have: Nicole Trunfio Jewelry

An addition to my ever growing wishlist: Nicole Trunfio's range of over-sized jewelry. Now we may not be as blessed as Nicole in the looks department, nor be blessed with her ever growing career - Nicole has modeled for the likes of Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana, starred in the movie Two Fists, One Heart and appeared in Make Me a Supermodel - but now we can all share a bit of her style, as Nicole says that the pieces were inspired by her travels, her need to "accentuate the feminine that lives within us all," and "ancient Rulers, Queens and Goddesses." Translation: ethnic-inspired silver statement necklaces embellished with draped coins, turquoise and coral stones, chainmail or fringe.
You take a look at the entire collection at here. Prices range from AU $190 - $410.
